Our boxing day sale starts tomorrow, Monday the 26th, and will be on until Saturday the 31st of December. We're offering 20% off all gear, along with a buy 5 get 1 free deal on all spraypaint cans.
Happy Holidays!

We recently received just a few pieces from the new Magma by Iris collection, along with this Iris "Dilla Schroeder" fleese pictured above. As usual with Iris, a lot of attention was put into details, quality and making sure they delivered a line with a very contemporary sense of style and fashion. You can check out their full collection here.

Last week marked our 1 year anniversary at Homebase (late post....I know....mad busy). A lot has changed in a year. We decided it was time to step it up a bit and offer our customers more, so in the last few days we brought in new gear, winter hats, sneakers, boots and much more (we'll be hilighting our new products in the next few posts)....and for the most part, it's all stuff you can't find anywhere else in the city. Make sure you come check us.

We'd also like to thanks everyone who supported us in this first year.

The 2nd Annual Die Enormous Pop-Up Shop is happening this Saturday December 3rd from 9am-9pm at Homebase Toronto (11 Camden St. – south of Richmond on the West side).

Go here to get a preview of the new releases. Everything looks dope so I suggest you show up early!

As of tomorrow, Saturday Nov 12th, Systematic tees will be available at Homebase. Checkout their website to learn more about the brand....

Legendary Bronx b-boy, Mr Wiggles (Rock Steady Crew), was recently in TO, stopped by Homebase and of course painted a couple of walls with Skam.

The picture above is from a recent interview Skam did for Nike over at Homebase. The interview was for an upcoming documentary on Air Force 1's coming out soon. We'll keep you posted.

The Black line has been a huge success since the new formula dropped about 2 years ago. I remember the question I was being asked the most (when I was the distributor) was "are they going to add more colours?". Initially Montana had said no, but I guess people have not stopped asking. Montana Cans has now released 34 NEW colours in the Black line. We now have all 34 new colours in stock at Homebase. You can view the new colours on the colour chart below.

Plus, for a limited time only, we are giving away a free White line can with the purchase of 5 Black or Gold line cans.

Legendary Case 2 passed away yesterday, Aug 14th, from cancer. RIP to the "King of Style".

New wall by Skam, Wysper, Hemps & Art Child

Now available at Homebase....

We just received a new shipment of paint. The wall is completely stocked up. We also received a new shipment of vintage New Era snapbacks.

New tees coming soon...

Styles P – Where The Angels Sleep (prod by Ceasar Prod)

My boy Ceasar (one half of Ceasar Productions: Ceasar & P-Starr) just dropped the first single off his new album, War Music, dropping in July. The video to this track will be out very soon.

The album features appearances by Styles P, Red Cafe, Saigon, Grafh, Kool G Rap and more....

We received a shipment of vintage late 80s/early 90s Krylons (and a few Rustoleums) at Homebase. Most of the cans are 3/4 full. Very limited colours and quantities so hurry if you're looking to expand your personal collection.

We just got in a few more copies of the Toronto Graffiti book. Won't last long this time around either.

We just received a shipment of vintage New Era snapbacks from the 80s and 90s. Someone we know knows someone at an old New Era warehouse and asked us if we wanted in on some old original hats. We don't know how many more are available so we might not get them in again. Teams available are very limited (most are only 1 per team). These shown here are just a few....

Bryan Espiritu has been working like a beast in the past months to prepare his first solo art show, Because The Kids Don’t Play, going down at 99 Sudbury St, Toronto on Friday May 13th. From what I understand of what he's told me, it's gonna be a crazy show and you can't really expect less from him if you know his past and background and if you've been following what he's done with the Ideall clothing line and the following he's been able to build. 56 canvases and 300 shirts will be on display and for sale that night. He gives a breakdown of the show on his blog. Below is a teaser of the show....

Big Krit (with special guest Smoke DZA) will be performing in Toronto on May 27th. We will be selling tickets to the show at Homebase.

As issues with graffiti have been at the forefront of Toronto politics of late, this collection examines graffiti as a legitimate art form. Che Kothari in partnership with acclaimed graffiti artists Skam and Elicser, create two original pieces of Graffiti Art. The spectator is given the opportunity to delve into the process behind the work. This approach brings a context to a medium that is typically understood at face value with little consideration or understanding of the purpose and meaning inherent to the work. The illuminated approach to the graffiti medium puts an artistic lens to a craft that has been a fundamental form of expression throughout history. Posing graffiti as a beautiful expression of very public and accessible art comes at a time of most urgency when the threat of citations to business owners who bare these types of artistic expressions loom on the daily.

Support the cause. Tees available here....

Those who follow us on twitter heard about this sale 2 weeks ago already. We apologize for only now posting it here.

Make sure you come down and take advantage of the sale to stock up. So far it's been a success. We have received 2 shipments in the last 10 days. Everything's in stock.

DABS & MYLA (right) and HOW & NOSM (left) recently finished this wall in LA. Crazy!

Gotta give my boy Ceasar Prod. some shine for producing this track. This is off of Styles P's last album The Ghost Dub-Dime, on which Ceasar Prod. produced 2 tracks.

The second Ideall pop-up shop at Homebase was even more successful than the first. Congratulations to our boy Brian Espiritu. Watch the video to see for yourself and get an even better idea here.
Ideall Clothing is available now at Homebase.

Homebase has hosted two 1-day pop up shops with Ideall Clothing and they were both very successful. Bryan Espiritu is the man behind the brand. He's been able to create a very strong following in the last couple of years. Because we believe in the brand and want to support it to the fullest, we now carry Ideall at Homebase. Come see the selection of tees and hats available now, only at Homebase.

The Legends League is a Toronto-born brand created by artist, designer and writer, Bryan Espiritu.

Fueled by his life experiences and passion for brutally honest representation, he has built a young and powerful following for his artwork, written work and clothing line, "IDEALL".

"The Legends League", a film by Eighteen Eighty, reveals the most candid pieces of a man who built his life around a brand about his life, and further exposes the truth behind one of the most honest movements street culture has ever witnessed.

Guu is a very popular Japanese restaurant that is opening a second location in Toronto within the next few days. Already very well established in Vancouver, it is finding the same amount of success here in Toronto. They decided to call Skam to do the wall outside their new location (559 Bloor W.).

More info and pics regarding Guu here.

We got a very limited number of classic and out of print books in stock recently. These shown here are only a few....we have other ones too. We had also received a bunch of old Vaughn Bode books, but those went real fast (only 2 left).

Bleu Nazario was the son of Hector "Nicer" Nazario (Tats Cru). Even though this came out last week, I still wanted to post it and give it some shine. This is a wholecar that was spotted last week in the East NY yard, dedicated to Bleu Nazario who passed away last July.

In case some still don't know, this is what happens to old MTA subway cars (NYC). I always thought it was a strange thing....and a bit of a waste in the 80s and early 90s. Immagine the art gallery there must be down there.

I stumbled onto this article/interview and thought it was interesting. (more pics at that link)

I'm trying to figure out if this is real or fake....I really hope it's fake. There's a video and everything....go here to peep it yourself.

Charity event at Maison on Friday Feb 25th, hosted by Steve Nash and with special guest dj, DJ Clue.

Minimum $20 donation with all proceeds going to The Steve Nash Foundation.

From what I understand, the book is sold out everywhere else. Not many copies were made to begin with. We still have 2 copies left at the shop. Some people asked to hold copies for them, but haven't been by yet so at this point it's first come first serve...

Someone just sent me the link to this new site: streetartview.com

It's pretty much a google maps app for graffiti. You can add locations. It's real easy....

This is a very rare "colouring comic book" by REAS that came out in the year 2000. He came out with a vol.2 in 2007, which he is currently selling on his site. A limited number of Vol.1 are now available at Homebase. You won't find these anywhere else...

We received a shipment a couple of days ago and are restocked on everything...including a lot of cans from the old Gold line, which are on sale while they last. We won't be getting anymore in stock cause these were some of the last cans available in North America. Incredible paint...definitely raised the bar for quality spraypaint when they first came out.

This is the t-shirt designed for Homebase by Virus (FC, COD, AA). We won't mention names, but he's been designing for some of your favorite street wear brands for years. We were happy to have him do this design for us and hope to work with him again in the future. You can check Virus out in the latest issue of Sneeze magazine.

The Virus design is available in various coloured tees and sweatshirts (limited).

Crazy burner by Serve FBA done in the courtyard behind Tuff City Styles in the BX. Shout to MED, CES, YES2 & Serve and the rest of the Tuff City crew. Make sure you go see them next time you're in the Bronx.

We carry bags designed by a Toronto based brand called Three Thirds. They were recently featured on Hypebeast. We currently carry their backpacks, messenger bags and laptop sleeves. The designs are great and a lot of attention has been put into the details and the quality of the bags. Homebase is one of the only 2 stores that carry this line in all of Toronto.

Virus (Perla) and Skam (Gems) in Toronto.

These are just a few of the classic out-of-print 90s graff mags that we just got in stock at the store....classic classic shit. Obviously supplies are limited. We have 1, maybe 2 copies of about 25-30 different titles. Some titles already sold out. Don't sleep on this never-again chance to own some classic material!

Make sure to come by....12-6pm

Check out the launch of the new Toronto Graffiti book tonight at The Mascot (1267 Queen St W., Toronto) from 7-11 pm.

Even in the freezing cold! This was just the other day....

Homebase hosted TheLegendsLeague / IdeallClothing pop-up shop on Saturday Dec 18th, 2010. The event was a huge success...mad people came through and supported our boy Bryan Espiritu and his Ideall Clothing brand. Anything new from the brand will now be sold at Homebase. Expect more events, sales and collabos between Homebase and Ideall Clothing in the future.

Go here to view all the pics of the event. Next one coming in Feb/Mar 2011.

On Saturday Dec 11th 2010 we had our first event at Homebase: 1LoveT.O.'s pop-up shop. The event went really well and we appreciated them having it at our new shop. Read what they had to say...

Homebase opened in downtown Toronto on Nov 27th 2010. We're Toronto's new graff, gear, accessories, etc store. Come through and check us out, keep checking the blog and lookout for our online store opening soon!
